Sat Chit Anand Spiritual Retreat Centre

Awaken to the mystery of being here
and enter into the quiet immensity of your own presence.

SAT CHIT ANAND: The Trinity of Being, Consciousness and Bliss

SAT CHIT ANAND is a Sanskrit expression, which means truth – consciousness – bliss. It relates to the Trinity: God the Father, the ground of all Being + the Son, the self-revelation of the Father and manifestation of the Christ consciousness + the Holy Spirit, the bliss of communion and love that flows between them.

Vande Saccidananda: Adoration to the One who is Being,
Knowledge and perfect Love, the highest goal ...

Your very being is SAT CHIT ANANDA: eternal existence, pure consciousness, supreme bliss. For it is in God that ‘we live and move and have our being’. Get in touch with the TRUTH of your Being. Live CONSCIOUSLY and mindfully. Let go of all worldly cares and concerns and experience the BLISS of Being.

SAT CHIT ANAND Spiritual Retreat Centre was founded in 2000.
The name of the Centre was changed to BENEDICTUS DEUS in 2014.

There is a time when you journey towards God, and there is a time when you journey within God.

Come then, my love, my lovely one, come.
For see, winter is past, the rains are over.
The flowers appear on earth.
The season of glad songs has come,
the cooing of the turtle dove is heard ...
Come then, my love, my lovely one, come.
My dove, show me your face,
let me hear your voice,
for your voice is sweet
and your face is beautiful.

Pope Francis invites us to have respect for other noble religions. The Second Vatican Council acknowledges the value of other religions and calls us to be open to interfaith dialogue:

Other religious traditions command respect because over the centuries they have borne witness to the efforts to find answers to the profound mysteries of the human condition and have given expression to the religious experience and they continue to do so today. The Council openly acknowledges the presence of positive values in the religious life of believers of other religious traditions, and in the religious traditions to which they belong. These values are attributed to the active presence of God through his Word, and point to the universal action of the Spirit. Without doubt, the Holy Spirit was at work in the world before Christ was glorified. The operative presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of members of other religious traditions is recognised. The Spirit of truth is not confined to the visible confines of the Church, being Christ's Mystical Body. The action of the Holy Spirit is universal, and God's plan of salvation, through His Son, includes the whole of humankind.
Christians must remember that God has also manifested himself in some way to the followers of other religious traditions. While keeping their identity intact, Christians must be prepared to learn and to receive from and through others the positive values of their traditions. Far from weakening their own faith, true dialogue will deepen it, and they will become more aware of their Christian identity. Their faith will gain new dimensions as they discover the active presence of the mystery of Jesus Christ beyond the visible boundaries of the Church and of the Christian fold. Salvation in Jesus Christ is, in a mysterious way, a reality open to all persons of good will. For since Christ died for all, and since all are in fact called to one and the same destiny, which is divine, we must hold that the Holy Spirit offers to all the possibility of being made partners, in a way known to God, in the Paschal mystery.

I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' and to the south, 'Do not hold them back.'
Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth.
