Ignatian Silent Retreat
Monday 20 - Friday 24 October 2014
with Revd Dr Mark Marais and Leela Verity

A TRINITARIAN IGNATIAN RETREAT:
This will be a directed retreat. It will take place in silence and will explore different themes. The retreat will begin by contemplating the Triune God, and this contemplation will carry through the Ignatian format of Creation, humanity, The Crucifixion and The Resurrection, into contemplating God's Kingdom in Heaven and on Earth. There will be an address every day, and exercises will be given including passages of Scripture and/or other writings to read and contemplate. Most of the day will be reserved for this purpose, with time for walks in nature, resting and relaxing. Each retreatant may have a private session with the Retreat Director every day. We will meet 3 times a day for prayer, and enjoy our meals in silence together. There will be additional spiritual input in the evenings, and the day will end with a session of Centering Prayer.
